We are so excited for our season. We have over 150 students signed up, so please make sure you read this carefully, read the attachments, and do all the things needed to successfully participate. We will send weekly updates, so more info is coming.
Practices and races are mandatory, athletes email coaches ASAP if you will be absent! Bring a full water bottle, electrolytes, and a post workout snack each day (combination of carbs and protein is ideal).
Upcoming Key Dates:
August 22nd - August 25th 6 PM at the softball fields at IHS
August 26th 5PM at softball field for a short workout, Spike Night at Road Runner at 6PM with pizza and prizes (see flier) there is a discount at Super Jock and Jill too!
August 27th - Time Trial at IHS upper softball fields starts @9am
Aug 30th at 6 pm - Mandatory Information Meeting at IHS for families and athletes
TO DO:
1 - Make sure your name is ALL GREEN in Final Forms before Aug 22nd. If it is not, you cannot come to practice. Over half the team has forms or payment to complete.
2 - We need each athlete to purchase race shorts from the team store - deadline is Aug 25th. Our team is SO big we don’t have enough shorts for all our team. Other items are optional https://issaquahcrosscountry-c9t1223.itemorder.com/shop/sale/
3 - Athletes fill out your email survey sent from Final Forms ONLY if you have not done it this summer
4 - Families fill out survey sent from Final Forms if you can donate food or help at our Time Trial
5 - Email Coach Liza if you can be our Booster Parent Coordinator, we really need 1-2 people for this role as it is critical to support our program.
6 - To safely and successfully participate in our program, athletes must be able to consecutively run 2 miles at the start of the season. 5 more days to train 😉
