Issaquah vs. Bothell at St. Edward State Park-Wednesday, September 25, 2019

There will be two races this week. All boys run at 4pm and all girls at 4:45pm. The course is mostly flat with some rolling hills. Grass, dirt, trails with some roots and bits of pavement make up the 5K course. Our athletes have worn cross country spikes in the past.

Discover Pass or $10 fee is necessary for parking.

Athletes have early release at 2pm. The buses leave from the back parking lot at 2:15. Don't be late because we won't wait!

The following four athletes will not be running: Lucas Enander, Mimi Chen, Jillian Feldman and Kareena Sikka.

The following athletes might run pending eligibility: Rykley Braun, Marvin Sabas, Aditi Prabhala, Eliza Fuhs, India Hutson and Lindsey Nielsen.

Bellevue Invitational-September 28th, 2019-Lake Sammamish State Park

No bus is provided.

All runners in jv races are asked to arrive at our tent at 8:30am to pick up their number. All 8 varsity runners are asked to arrive by 11am to pick up their numbers and cheer on their teammates.

Please email me at lgrr@comcast.net if you wake up sick on Saturday and cannot attend. I leave my house at 8am!

Directions to Mount Tahoma Stadium:

Driving South on I-5:  Take Exit 129, S 72nd Street/S84th Street

  • Take the S 74th Street West ramp
  • Turn right onto S 74th Street
  • Go straight for 1.6 miles
  • The stadium will be on your left hand side

Driving North on I-5:  Take Exit 129, S 72nd Street

  • Turn left off the ramp S 72nd Street
  • S 72nd Street will become S 74th Street
  • Go straight for 1.7 miles
  • The stadium will be on your left hand side

 

Parking/Bus Parking:

There is parking located near the stadium, near the school on S 74th Street, and two large parking lots behind the stadium off of Verde Street.  Please review the facility map for specific locations.

 

All school buses/vans/cars will park in the large grassy parking area off of Verde Street, just past the stadium.  Verde Street is the street directly before the stadium.  Please leave NO items of value in your car, i.e. wallets, purses, camera, radios, etc.

Th bus leaves Issaquah High School at 8:30am sharp!  Don’t be late.  Estimated time of return to school is  4pm.

General admission into the meet is $6.00, students w/ ASB & Seniors is $4.00

Top 3 individuals per event will be awarded, as well as Team trophies to the top two men’s and women’s teams.   Concessions will be available for purchase.

Meet will begin at 4:00pm at  9130 NE 180th St, Bothell, WA 98011

Please speak to your coach on Monday if you would like to change events.  Entry deadline for this meet is Tuesday at midnight and the meet manager would prefer to only have day of scratches and no add on’s.

Pole Vault will compete at home on Wednesday. Throwers who are not in the top 6 of their event will also compete at home on Wednesday. 

This Thursday we will have an early dismissal of 2:15pm and the bus will depart from the back of the school at 2:30.  Do not be late! Please let your teacher know ahead of time that you will be leaving class early.

We will NOT have bus transportation to/from the meet.

Athletes who have met the eligibility requirements will be entered and will attend this meet.

This is the final race of the season for jv athletes and is required for “finishing the season”. In addition to the league championship title, the varsity races are also the qualifying races for the state meet on November 4th. The top two teams and top 14 individuals in the two varsity races will qualify for the state championships in Pasco.

Bring water or prerace and post race liquids along with a snack to eat before and/or after your race. You must wear your school issued uniform. Spikes are allowed and recommended if you have them. You will be given a race number that must be worn during the race. Make sure that the number is totally visible and not folded, bent or mutilated If there is no number, there is no result!

Discover Pass needed to enter park or $10 fee

Athletes who have met the eligibility requirements will be entered and will attend this meet.  There will not be practice for those who are not entered in the meet.

Athletes not entered are Pierce Moen, Mara Nowlan, Alex Hutchinson

Athletes who may be entered but need to check with Gwen are Kobi Sunday (2), Michael McCaffrey (1), Preston Hunter (1), Lauren Martinez (1), Rodger Kline and Dani Madan

For those athletes entered in the meet, early dismissal is 2:30pm. Buses leave promptly at 2:45 from the back parking lot by the auxiliary gym. Please do not be late. Come dressed in your uniform. If you do not have time to change, you can do so at the park.

Bring water or prerace and post race liquids along with a snack to eat before and/or after your race. You must wear your school issued uniform. Spikes are allowed.
